About

Rhythm Goods is an independent skateboard and graphic design brand built on one idea: art should move.

Not just hang on a wall — it should be out in the world, under someone's feet at the skate park, on their back in a crowd, making strangers stop and look. Every board that leaves here is a piece of original artwork, designed from scratch and finished by hand.

The designs pull from mythology, psychedelia, street culture, and whatever else is rattling around at the time. No two pieces are identical. No mass production. No shortcuts.

What goes into every board

All decks start with 7-ply Canadian maple — the same standard used in professional manufacturing. Artwork is applied as high-resolution vinyl print and sealed with your choice of finish. Options include gloss, satin, flat matt, acrylic glaze topcoat, and holographic or iridescent foil overlays for something genuinely different.

What Does Your Order Look Like

A typical order would follow this proccess:

An artwork is picked or requested.

An appropriate deck is picked out.

The vinyl print artwork is then printed and applied to the board with either a matt or gloss finish (more finishes are now available).

The board recieves some final touch ups and preparation where it can be sent off or if further customisations have been requested it will head to the next step.

If an acrylic glaze topcoat has been requested, whether it is high gloss, matt or anywhere inbetween, the glaze is painted on by hand.

The topcoat is then sanded and buffed to provide the best finish possible.

FAQ's - Terminology and Specifications

Some of the terminology used can be a bit confusing or hard to understand when first encountering its use, hopefully this section will help.

Deck/Board these words are often used to describe the wooden base of a skate"board", deck or board its the same thing, it helps to just clarify so that there are no misunderstandings about our products.

Glaze/Topcoat/Resin these are liquids that are applied to the surface of the board, to provide a different look, feel and also as an added layer of scratch protection for the vinyl print.

Vinyl/Graphic is a plastic like material that is used in signage and other outdoor purposes, this is where the images are printed out on a vinyl printer much like a regular printer uses paper. The image is printed on the vinyl, which then becomes the graphic/artwork.

Finishes - Matt/Gloss the finishes that are availible are ever expanding and are aiming to cater to any request within reason, these terms describe how much shine there is to the finished board, gloss is high shine, with quite a reflective quality, and matt is on the other side being a bit darker with a more carbon appearance.

Foil and Miscellaneous Materials Rhythm Goods offer an array of different materials and finishes for any special request and we infact encourage it, work is being done to encorporate reflective and holographic materials and layers, if you have an idea for and special material you would like to have on your board, all you need do is ask.
